• What makes the Treat-Eezi mattress so effective despite its slim profile?

  The four layers of specialised "spacer" fabric work together to:

  1. Reduce shearing forces (lead cause of pressure ulcers)

  2. Maintain skin integrity by promoting airflow and breathability

  3. Distribute pressure evenly, avoiding “hotspots” where ulcers often form

  Treat-Eezi is designed to be used on its own and adding it to another specialist product can reduce its effectiveness as traditional air mattresses are often not breathable and trap heat

  Using Tactilus pressure monitoring, Treat-Eezi overlays produced peak pressures under 30mmHg. In pressure ulcer prevention, the goal is to keep interface pressure below capillary closing pressure, generally accepted to be around 32mmHg. This is the point at which blood flow starts to become restricted, leading to tissue damage over time. By staying below this threshold, Treat-Eezi helps protect against the formation and worsening of pressure ulcers, even in high-risk patients
