As a result of age or particular disabilities, our mobility and dexterity might be reduced. With reduced mobility and dexterity, important daily tasks, such as buttoning a shirt, could become quite a struggle. But, this does not mean that you have to be completely dependent on someone else to dress you.

ADLs, such as the HappyHome Button Hook and Zipper Pull, could be your solution to these new challenges by making daily activities easier for you. These clever yet simple knick-knacks are designed to help its users cope with their minor day-to-day inconveniences which allow its users to reduce dependency on others and live as independently and as conveniently as possible.

Furthermore, one of the greatest benefits of using ADLs is that individuals do not have to give up their functional capabilities, even if they are limited, and end up completely reliant on someone else. By supporting individuals in activities that they struggle with, ADLs allow individuals to carry out their basic daily activities independently. This could help to maintain, or even increase an individual's functional capabilities over time.

There are many types of ADLs. They range from feeding aids to readings aids, to cooking aids, and even pill crushers that would make your daily medication routine a little easier. (For more information on specific ADLs, take a look at our website or look out for our upcoming articles.)

Age does not have to be a limiting factor in your independence and comfort. If you or your loved ones are facing a little trouble with daily activities, do look for suitable ADLs that would help you in your daily routine so that you can live independently, comfortably and enjoy a higher quality of life.
