Introduce exercise slowly into your elder’s lifestyle so that their body and mind can get used to the idea of it. Take short walks (15 minutes) two times a day. We also recommend mobility aids so that they can enjoy their walks independently.

Resolution #2: Do Some Reading

People who read enjoys so much more than a good story. Reading has been proven to help reduce stress, enhance sleep and improve memory circuits for the elderly.

You can encourage reading by purchasing a newspaper for your loved ones in their language of choice. This is a great bonding activity as you and your elder can read together or you can read out to them. We also recommend getting magnifiers to help them see and read better.

Resolution #3: Be Tech-Savvy
